Heavy-duty recovery

Tractor or farm machine stuck

On a wet field or along a ditch, a tractor or harvester can easily get stuck. Or it slides halfway into the ditch. With our heavy winches and crane trucks we get agricultural vehicles out in a controlled way.

What to do

Stuck in mud: stop pulling

Is your tractor stuck? Then stop pulling and driving on. The wheels dig in further and the tractor can end up at an angle. Pulling it out with a second tractor and a chain or cable can be dangerous: if it breaks, it snaps back with great force.

Call us and tell us where the field is and how we can get there. A few photos help us bring the right equipment straight away.

Our approach

Winch or crane

Our heavy recovery trucks stay on firm ground, on the road or in the farmyard. With the winch we pull the tractor or machine free slowly, even if it is a long way into the field.

Is an agricultural vehicle in the ditch or leaning badly? Then we lift it with the crane truck. That way we avoid extra damage to the vehicle and to the land.

Afterwards

Back to the farmyard or the dealer

Is the machine damaged? Then we take it to your farmyard, the dealer or the workshop. With our low-loaders we can also transport large agricultural vehicles.

Situations we help with include

  • Tractors stuck in a wet field or meadow
  • Harvesters and forage harvesters that have got stuck
  • Agricultural vehicles that have slid halfway into a ditch
  • Implements and trailers that have tipped over

Frequently asked questions

Is pulling free with a second tractor dangerous?

It can be. If a chain, cable or towing eye breaks, it snaps back with great force. The stuck tractor can also tip over. With a recovery truck and a heavy winch it is done in a controlled way.

Do you also come onto the field?

Our recovery truck stays on firm ground as much as possible, such as the road or the farmyard. With the winch we can then also reach vehicles that are further into the field.

What does it cost to have a tractor pulled free?

That depends on the location, how badly the machine is stuck and how long we are working. Call 058 30 30 125 for a price estimate.
